The Office of the Clerk of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Mexico is located in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the Dennis Chavez Federal Building and United States Courthouse. The building is situated on the south side of Gold Avenue between 5th and 6th street.
The Dennis Chavez Federal Building and United States Courthouse also houses the courtrooms for the United States Bankruptcy Court.

Court Closures due to Inclement Weather
When local travel conditions are significantly affected by snow or other adverse weather conditions, the Clerk will record a message on the Clerk's Office main phone line, 505-348-2500 (toll free 866-291-6805), as early as 6:30 a. m. regarding delayed opening or closures of the Clerk's Office and changes in court hearing times for the day. To Enter the Building
All visitors to the Dennis Chavez Federal Building and United States Courthouse are required to present a photo ID at the magnetometer before being admitted to the building. Absolutely no weapons (including knives, sharp or pointed instruments, etc.) are permitted in the building. In addition, cameras, electronic recorders, transmitters, and receivers are prohibited on the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th floors. If you have any questions regarding this procedure, please contact the Clerk's Office.
The main entrance to the building is located on the north side. Enter the building using the front steps or access the ramps on either the west or east side of the building.
Directions to the Dennis Chavez Federal Building and United States Courthouse:
Take exit 224 (Lead/Coal Avenue) and head west on Lead Avenue to 5th Street. Turn right (i.e., north) on 5th Street towards Gold Avenue. We are at 500 Gold Avenue, the southwest corner.
Metered parking is available on the street, and there are several paid parking lots in the area. The closest parking garage is located on the corner of 5th and Lead SW. There are no ADA accessible parking spots available at the courthouse; however, the metered parking is available free of charge near the courthouse with the use of a handicap placard.
