If you are the United States, and you select the party role type United States, a fee will not be incurred when filing certain fee related documents. If this role type is not selected, you will incur a filing fee.

You will be presented with a screen similar to the following where you will enter NOT DUE in the Receipt # Box. The Fee amount also displays on this screen.

If you are the United States, and are a party in a case with a different role type, you must create a new party using the party role type United States to avoid incurring fees for fee related documents.

The final docket text entry must include "Receipt Number NOT DUE"to avoid incurring the fee.
